We are saddened to report the passing of Corkey Robinson. Corkey was one of the founders of the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble in the mid-1970s. He played in ACWE for many years and conducted the band from time to time. Corkey was best known as the legendary band and orchestra director at Austin High School from 1961 through 1988. He was a tremendous influence on countless musicians, including many who went on to become professionals. We would love to hear any stories you may have about Corkey.
