Membership Fees
The membership fee is $50 per year for regular members and $30 for full-time students and retirees. Membership fees are payable each September for the fiscal year, September through August. New members prorate their first year's fees, depending on the number of months remaining in the fiscal year. Paying fees, combined with regular attendance, qualifies you as a member in good standing, and entitles you to all rights and privileges thereof, including performing at concerts, voting, and holding office. Regular attendance is defined as 70% of rehearsals during the previous three months before a concert.
Membership fees provide the primary source of funds for meeting normal ACWE operating expenses.

Music and Rehearsals
Music parts are distributed electronically via a secure, one-time download link sent to your email before each concert cycle. Links expire after one use or five days, so download your parts promptly and save them somewhere you can find them at rehearsal.
Important: If you receive the download link on your phone, do not tap it yet. The link is one-time use. Once clicked it expires, and the file will end up on your phone rather than where you need it. Wait until you are at your computer or tablet and ready to save the file before opening the link. If you accidentally expire your link, contact the ACWE librarian for a new one.
Please read the terms of use carefully. By downloading your parts you agree to the following:
- All sheet music remains the exclusive property of ACWE. Copyrights remain with the publisher or composer.
- You are granted a limited license to use the music solely for rehearsals and performances with ACWE.
- You may not share, copy, upload, or distribute the music in any form.
- After the final performance, you must permanently delete all electronic copies and destroy any printed copies.
If you prefer a printed folder, you are welcome to print your own parts. Percussion parts are distributed as printed folders.
Regular attendance is strongly encouraged. Planning and instrumentation for rehearsals and concerts depends on knowing who will be there. If you need to miss a rehearsal or concert, please notify your section representative in advance so they can adjust accordingly.
Concert Dress
Normal indoor concert dress is all black (not tuxedos). Long sleeve dress shirt and nice pants for men. Black skirt or pants and black blouse for women.
For outdoor concerts in warmer months, the ACWE blue logo polo shirt, tan (khaki) shorts or pants, and white tennis shoes or light brown shoes are appropriate.
ACWE polo shirts — Every member receives one polo shirt as part of their membership. Additional shirts are available to purchase at around $20 (price may vary year to year). Contact the ACWE librarian to arrange an additional shirt.
