Summer 2017 reading sessions

Join us this summer for sight reading sessions! We pull out the cheesy, old music from the ACWE library and sight read several pieces each week. From marches to musicals, and everything in between. No auditions, no membership fees, just bring your instrument and read music with us!

Independence Day Celebration at Steiner Ranch

The Austin Civic Wind Ensemble presents its Independence Day concert at the Towne Square in Steiner Ranch. More details about the event on the Steiner Ranch HOA facebook page.

Spring Concert at AISD PAC

ACWE performs a joint concert with Band of the Hills on Friday, May 12. Band of the Hills starts at 7:00PM and ACWE plays at 8:30PM.  We are excited to be playing in the excellent acoustics of the new AISD Performing Arts Center.

The evening will have a water theme and ACWE will be performing The Fountains of Rome by Respighi, In Storm and Sunshine by Heed, Dancing on Water by Ticheli, Water Fanfare by Spaniola and Sea Chanteys by Hoehne.

Texas Community Music Festival

ACWE again hosts the Texas Community Music Festival at Central Market North. The festival runs from April 21 through April 30 and features an eclectic variety  of music. 

ACWE performs at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 22.
